Our research encompases both experimental and numerical investigations of geotechnical engineering systems. The group has extensive experience in numerical modeling of complex soil-structure interaction problems using both finite element (FE) and discrete element (DE) methods. The Geo-Group has developed a novel numerical tool that combines both DE-FE methods to capture the soil behavior around buried structures.
