About Geo-Group

Geo-Group is a research team in the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University. The group addresses problems in geomechanics and geotechnical engineering with a particular focus on the performance of buried lifeline systems, reinforced and improved ground, and climate resilient geotechnical design.

The work of the group combines numerical analysis, physical and laboratory testing, and field monitoring. The objective is to improve understanding of soil–structure interaction and to develop design approaches that can be applied in practice.

Information about current students, team members, and a complete list of publications is available on Professor Meguid’s McGill profile: https://www.mcgill.ca/civil/mohamed-meguid.

Main themes
