Gholamreza Saghaee

Gholamreza Saghaee is currently a PhD candidate in Geotechnical Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics, McGill University. He is conducting research related to the stability of deteriorated earthen structures with emphasis on earth dams and levees. His research includes both centrifuge physical modeling and nonlinear finite element analysis. He has been a visiting researcher at C-Core centrifuge center in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2011. His expertise extends beyond physical modeling of geotechnical structures to include numerical simulations, PIV analysis, and nondestructive testing.

Masood Meidani

Masood Meidani graduated from University of Tehran in Geotechnical Engineering in 2013. His Master thesis was titled “Evaluation of the Effect of Erosion Voids on Urban Tunnels Lining”. He worked as a geotechnical engineer in Iran for 1 year. Masood joined McGill’s Geo-Group at the Department of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics in September 2013.
